Emotionally scars may be a reason but she should be afraid. Pregnancy, stds, AIDS...all very valid reasons not to have sex. Support her and ensure she is safe that is all you can do if you really have a concern try and talk to her about counseling.

I was afraid the first time I had intercourse. I was a virgin. First I went for therapy, that did not help. Then I went to my gyn Dr. and I had an operation where they made my vaginia bigger and made me so I was not a virgin anymore. I had no problems anymore.

Uh, hello? You are a male, you don't have to worry about getting pregnant. Did that ever occur to you? Plus, waiting until you are married is what you should be doing anyway. It's none of your business what her decision is and you should stop making it out to be some "problem" when she is actually very intelligent. Try emulating her.

I have the same problme. I am so afriad to have sex but I am such a big flirt and I luv to tease and be sexual but I can't have sex. In a nice polite way ask her if she was abused as a little girl or in the exact words ask her if she was raped.

are you going out with girl or what? why are you even asking a question like this about your friend. maybe she doesn't want to have sex, but will do other things. in these days and times, i would be scared to have sex too....you must wear condoms to protect yourself, no matter what. its just not safe. don't try to convince her to have sex. when she's not afraid anymore, she may or may not....she could be saving herself for marriage.

She needs to find some help, someone to talk to. Tell her she can hurt herself even more by doing these things. There are a lot of diseases out there that she can get. Tell her to be careful.

Why are you pressuring her? Maybe she just doesn't want to have sex or sex with you. Leave the girl alone. Nothing happened when she was young--and if it did it's not up to you to force her to talk about it. She'll do it when she's ready. You are not her therapist.
