Nude extra sheer hose is best. Sheer navy might be okay for evening. Avoid white.

It depends on what color shoes you plan to wear. Monochromatic dressing is always the better way to go, so try ultra sheer navy hose. If you plan to wear white or off white shoes, wear ultra sheer white or off white hose. You'll defy great style.

Your best bets are always nude, light tan or flesh toned (or only slightly darker). Although, IMHO sheer navy or black would work if worn under full length line pants.

off white ones. or tan/nude. definitely not white there too bright.
