Integrity and principle and 'public service' is supposed to be honorable and necessary!!

I am tired of nearly all of them being Corporate puppets battling each other to be in the lead!

Perhaps it's time we the people issue an ultimatum?!?!

In the eve of an election year it seems like the first thought on every politicians mind is "how will this affect me in '08?" and even WORSE, "how will this affect me in 2012?"

Look at all the ******* parading around campaigning (some almost 2 years before the election) while they should be in Washington doing the job that they've already been elected to do. Once one of these jerks is elected President, will they spend the next 4 years working on their re-election campaign, or are they actually going to start getting some work done?

and they don't reflect the majority of american society how?

i too am disillusioned. is the system flawed, or do we just choose badly? anyone in a position of power has the ability to wield that power as s/he sees fit, and it's no wonder that others wish to show them which way 'fit' is.

how to fix? any ultimatum will have to blessed by the powers that be, and it will in turn be difficult to get them to give up their power. it corrupts, and builds walls to defend itself. these people sacrifice their own potential to further the power of the party they serve and battle each other because it suits the party's needs, and it's a terrible waste.

voting them out only replaces them with more of the same. if i knew the answer, i'd gladly tell. perhaps a wholesale change of the entire congress and executive branch of the government, mandatory term limits... yes, i am ashamed as well.

I AGREE!!!!!!!! The real sad part is, judging from the lack of respect that people have for others in this country these days, I think we probably have some of the "best" we have in office now.

Typical lib...loves employment, hates employers.

Go ahead, Miss Kelly...issue your ultimatum...I await it's publishing. What shall you call it? Who will follow you? How and to whom will you deliver it?

people aren't running for election, they are buying them. money can buy about anything for people with huge egos and a need to be number one. it's a shame people are so self centered instead of actually wanting to be a servant of the people.
