I accidentally left a small baggie of frozen bloodworms out last night after feeding my bettas and they thawed. They were still cold so I put them in the fridge. I went and bought some more today, but i was wondering how long can thawed bloodworms last if kept cold in the fridge? Just wondering.

Bloodworms break down and decay very quickly. As long as they were still quite cold they should be ok to feed to your fish. They will keep in the fridge 2-3 days at best before they start going bad.

Hi Brindle, I feed my Goldfish frozen bloodworms & brine shrimp & always defrost the cubes in a little bowl with some water taken from the tank. I then feed small amounts throught the day using a small flat artists brush to pick the shrimp or bloodworms out of the bowl-this way none of the defrosted fluid gets in the tank. I have been dong this for several years & the foods keep perfectly fresh all day in the fridge. I would recommend throwing out any left over at night & if using a brush ensure it is brand new, an old one may look clean but still has deadly toxins on it.

yeah, id say refreeze them. i have no clue how long they'd be ok in the fridge, i'd assume it would be a couple of days... ask at a pet store.
