According to Wikipedia.com, "Salmonella is a genus of rod-shaped Gram-negative enterobacteria that causes typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, and foodborne illness. Salmonella species are motile and produce hydrogen sulfide."
Basically, Salmonella is a bacteria which is on some foods, in particular dairy, meat, and poultry products. You can prevent it by making sure all your food is thouroughly cooked.

It's a disease you can get from rodents and turtles. (If you kiss your hamster or something and they have it, you can get it.) Search of yahoo or google about symtoms to salminela I hope you don't have it! Talk to your mom!
