My boyfriend had an accident when backing out of our driveway with a neighbor backing out of theirs. When the police officer came, he said they both would have been cited (I wasn't in the car at the time nor did I see the accident) and given tickets if they filed a report.

What do we do about his insurance if the neighbors file a claim? Ohio is a tort state (rather than no-fault). And if they both were going to get tickets then would our insurance pay for their damage and their insurance pay for his or would each insurance NOT pay for the damage?

More than likely, each insurance company would pay the damages for there own customer. Both of your premiums will increase regardless of who actually pays what.
The insurance companies WILL settle between themselves out of court. That means the courts ruling doesn't matter, because they will never see the case.
