I've been going through stuff in storage. I found my old lava lamp (it's around 7 years old....I'm only 18). My mom got a light, and we've plugged it in. It hasn't been used in years. It's still good, isn't it?

Sorry, but I didn't know where to put this question and polls and surveys seems to fit everything...

Your good. Just remember not to allow the lava to get mixed in the water. If that has happened email me and I will advise you what to do.

The wax will heat up and lift with the warming water. I did the same thing here about a month ago. A friend of mine took an interest in the old lamp. I had a difficult time finding the right bulb, but we turned it on and the color of the wax deepend and started to float and swirl in the suspension fluid. No, you shouldn't have any trouble with it blowing up. All the seals are intact if all the suspension is still there.

No, it wont combust.....

it could, have a short and catch fire as lava lamps deal with higher watterage and usually are hastly made with cheep wires

however, replace the bulb and mostly likely you'll be fine

I dont think they would sell something that blows up--to much financial responsibility. If you want to test it, put it in the garage or back yard and turn it on for 1 day.

As long as it did not get wet or the electrical cord did not get damaged it should be fine, test it in a safe place, like a garage, basement or outdoors first

As long as there's no cracks in it...Lava lamp goo is like Twinkies...The stuff inside will last forever!

Take care, eh?!

No it won't blow up. It will only if there the wireing is bad, but more than likely, in storage, it will not.

As long as the glass is intact and the seal is still tight, by all means yes. It is still good.
