That seems too short although you don't say how much you use your phone. Reviews seem to think the battery life is only fair with only 5 hours of talk time. I understand there is a higher capacity battery available for it.

Talk-time battery life was only fair: the EnV lasted 5 hours, 5 minutes in our lab tests--longer than the vendor-stated talk time of 4.5 hours, but not as good as many standard cell phones we've tested recently

A lot of this depends on where you live and how often you use your phone. If you are talking on your phone for 4 of 6 hours everyday then you'll probably need to recharge it. Do you get good service where you live? If you have intermittent service or no service your battery will drain much faster because your phone is continually searching for a signal.

Cell phone batteries are not like car gas tanks. You don't let them run down a little then fill them back up. You have to let them run completely out before you re-charge. They have memories, if you have a 2-hour battery and you only charge it for 5 minutes, eventually it's going to think it's a 5-minute battery.

not really. if you use it alot, well, then yes. but if you dont, new phones dont have to be charged until the 2nd or 3rd day of normal use. contact your service provider or where you purchased the phone so they can exchange the battery or the phone out for you.

I put mine on my charger every night.Once in a while you are supposed to let the battery drain all the way down and then recharge it.

Before you go to bed...just plug your phone in. Or if you are at a friends house, stay up as late as you can, and then just turn your phone off!

i charge my phones (an LG & a motorola) daily.
they don't need it that often tho. with a lot of talk time, they need it about every 2-3 days. with little talk time about 1x per week.
