If I started questioning any of my answers that got a lot of thumbs-down, I'd be forever going back and changing them.
I tend to give honest answers, not popular or warm-fuzzy answers, so I get a LOT of thumbs-down

Yes, I will. Mainly because some people out there just give thumbs down because they think it's funny, not because they actually care about the question or the answer. Honestly, I think yahoo just needs to get rid of the stupid thumbs feature altogether and go with the stars, the way they did for the questions.

I have in a couple of instances. It has caused me no end of grief, too. I got my first profile attacked by someone who did not want to hear what I had to say. I was neither coarse, nor vulgar. I was point-blank and yes, I got about 12 or more thumbs down for what I said. People should be careful what they ask for. If they do not want to hear the truth, they should not ask for it.

Depends on wether I did a showcase answer, just to get kudos, or I answered how I really felt. If I answered how I really felt then many thumbs down wouldn't change my opinion. I would just think, well no one likes it but that's OK.

I don't mind thumbs down. It is the shallow minded people who have to report people because they do not agree that should be spanked. They are the faceless cowards who are leaches to society not contributors.
