It is the same mindless devotion suicide bombers have for their mentor.
If we knew why some people do such things the world would be a better place.
Like Bush, Charlie Manson still has followers even Satan has worshipers.

Well the fact is that most supported the idea of going to war with Iraq based on the information available to us at the time. We were able to take down Saddam and now we are working to rebuild Iraq. What else should we have done? Should we have invaded and immediately left? Ok, so now we're there and things are tough. So do we leave now and let them fall into civil war? We just let Iran and Iraq's other neighbors get a strong foothold in Iraq? It makes sense to have Iraq as an ally in the turbulent Middle East.
Now as far as the immigration bill was concerned. I did not support it and I was not happy that our President pushed so hard with the Dems to pass it. I'm glad it failed but it leaves us in the same ol' place as before.
I'm pro-life and a fundie (as is called) so I like those aspects of our president.

Some right-wing fanatics will support Bush no matter what he does. The mindset of these people is very aggressive and it utterly respects the idea of authoritarian leadership. The more warlike, the more moralistic and the more ultra-conservative, the better, from their perspective.
It is a peculiar hate-filled mentality that you see reflected in some of the answer on YA such as from people who advocate nuking Iraq, sending liberals to concentration camps and being allowed to say any disgusting thing about ethnic and racial groups and gay people and whomever else they may not like. The Nazis thrived on similar mindsets.

The people who are burping out the " He's our Commander In Chief" are full of benefits from this administration. Every one with a brain recognizes a disaster before it hits. Apparently rich folk only care about the stock market. I care about seeing Dubya impeached.

Its a cult following . Its in the music piped into government offices . Its on the phone lines in the static ."support Bush and his people " ---" Support the war no matter what "--this one flashes on fox news all the time "Bush is a great leader support the war "
Its hard when people who work in the defense industry and government are exposed to this type of mind control daily all the time . .
The only thing that works is to get them away and from it for a few weeks and show them the truth . Its a wonderful thing when an intervention in someones life can save them from themselves and Bush .

There are some things that simply cannot be explained. One could ask the same of supporters of Adolf Hitler in 1945 but he had supporters then and for years afterward.
It is kind of like blind faith vs. science. Does one beleive something out of blind faith or because of some sort of imperical data, proof done scientifically?

I supported Bush from the beginning and I support him now. I am an American and not a socialist and thus I could never support anyone like those who are leading Congress right now. Most every single democrat lib is a socialist and is a very real danger to this country and our way of life. If you want to talk about long term damage to a country, let's start with LBJ. His welfare system has destroyed the family and that will take more than a couple of years to fix like what happened when Reagan fixed most all of Carter's damage. You need to wake up and look at reality, you checkbook, the stock market and the strength of this country. You and your kind of hate mongers are no longer tolerated by real true Americans.
