First of all - What is the Real reason for this website to exist?
Second : does anyone who is seriously minded and has entered this website of good faith : Does this website provide a masochistic-sadistic behaviour to in time develop in impressionable people, as well as in oneself - the more one tries to transcend the website's purpose?
Thirdly : what kind of a "hide" such as thick or tender "skin", or the type of temperament so callous that it does not respond to anything - must be necessary for anyone to continue on it? Which will not affect one in the least?
I am certain, I must not be the only one who's ever asked this question of oneself or of others . . but now, I'd like to post this publicly - Therefore, especially under the protection of virtuality . . does any one have any courage to answer this?
You may be just the One who helps me continue a habit which everyday, I tend to seek an answer to, or plainly, and for the sake of self-sanity salvaging, abandon IT once and for all.

Asking and answering questions is a path to enlightenment, if one chooses that path. It is a form of education and one doesn't transcend education, one either participates in it, sabotages it, makes fun of it, or just ignores it according to one's disposition.

Ignorance, though blissful, cannot be a true path to enlightement.

I am a warrior who eschews violence. Instead I wield the sword of Truth. Though I seek to know, I am comfortable with paradox and as much as I want it, I don't need the comfort of clarity.

Am I perfect? No. Truth does not require veracity, only a willingess to deny all forms of deception.

I wear no armour and the claws and fangs of the leaping wolves cut and rip my flesh. But my scarred flesh is thick and healthy. Thus is the paradox of the honest. We are not protected from our fears and enemies and are thus easily damaged but over time the skin toughens and the wit sharpens.

Am I masochistic? Perhaps, considering that I offer up my tender flesh for any to claw at or bite with their remarks. It hurts to be honest and yet I do it time and time again. Do I enjoy the pain, not really, but I benefit from it.

Am I a sadist? Absolutely not! (there is no necessary connection between masochism and sadism - it's not a ping pong game) I take no joy whatsoever in other people's pain, despite the fact that sometimes it will result from brutal honesty.

Deception does not dull the pain of life, it only increases it and prolongs it. There is no such thing as a 'white' lie. That in itself is a deception.

I don't enjoy nor encourage pain in any form though I am bathed in it from head to toe. I neither avoid it nor embrace it. It just is.

Anonymity nor virtualiy offer no protection to the cowardly liar, for he can never escape himself.

First I believe this site was suppose to be for the sharing of information and to allow people an avenue to express themselves when they may not have had the opportunity
before.
Second; as far as the masochistic-sadistic behavior goes one could argue that yes to the weak minded or those of lesser character some of the statements on this site could encourage it. However, you could also, and some have, say the same about todays music,TV,video games, and even magazines. To attempt to hide oneself away and try to to avoid the (less desirable)dark side of the world would be impossible. Life has away of imposing itself on others. Besides those of us who see the injustice and vulgarity of others have a duty to ourselves and others to , at least try, to educate the ignorant
Third; From the sounds of things you have the perfect skin to continue on. Again, the mear fact that the wrongs of this world bother you indicates your fine. Its when cruelty on longer phases you that you have reason for concern. Ignorant people need voices of reason, in order to balance out the sounds of the small minded and hateful
