Sometimes, I have to just sit back & laugh at the state of this country, today. TV is crap, the news is retarded (& I don't mean that the same way as mentally handicap so don't B-itch), rap is more popular than any other genre of music (if you wanna call rap "music"), the public school system is going down the toilet, Bush got re-elected, parents aren't raising their kids anymore, people get are getting fatter, & nobody seems to care! It's like we can't see beyond our own noses anymore!
Is it just me or is this country getting dumber? And if so, is the government systematically trying to dumb us down or is it public apathy?

TV has it's crappy shows-but it also has a lot of shows that instruct people in all sorts of educational subjects. You dont have to watch tv-it's not required. That's what the off button is for.
The leaders of the rap music business have called for changes in the lyrics. When someone like Russell Simmons calls for a change, you know it's heard. Meanwhile there are many many other types of music you can listen to. The number of weight loss classes, clinics and gyms have multiplied because people dont like being fat anymore than you like looking at them. This country-my country is just fine thank you very much. We have our faults, but we have the will and the way to change it. How bout moving to Darfur if you dont like it here?

That's not all Americans. I'm definitely not dumb. Rap is music, just because you don't like it doesn't mean everyone has to. But, one this I have to admit to: re-electing Bush was the dumbest thing America has ever done. It's not the country that's stupid, it just might be the one running it...well, that's my opinion, but you sound like you think all Americans are like that, and that's not true.
Besides, are you American? Because, in order to be in this state you must be a legal citizen and technically an American. And if Americans are getting dumber, that's including yourself.

purely particular human beings think of us of a is a Christian us of a. As a rustic, we don't make that declare in our family with any distant places international locations. The founding fathers could have as a rule been Christians (quite a few have been Deists) yet they understood the could desire to be sure that no non secular group could desire to take over the government. that they had lots of undesirable examples of that occurring interior the guy colonies and so we've been given what grew to alter into be attentive to as "separation of church and state". mockingly, their thinking on the time became based on the atrocities of Christian denominations against different Christian denominations.

its because there is just too much freedom to do just about anything in America, make any type of movie- some restrictions and the teaching of christianity/morality in schools are necessary to keep a country from becoming "dumb"

I asked a Republican about it; they're never wrong about anything.

He said it's all Clinton's fault.
