I have been to Las Vegas twice, love it, was just there 2 weeks ago on my midtour leave. When I come back from deployment I am going to go again. The first time I went I stayed at the Hilton. It was pretty good but I am not interested in staying on that end of the strip. This time (2 weeks ago) we have a deluxe palace tower at Caesar's Palace, and a lot of stuff went wrong with the room. But I did love the spa there at Caesar's. Absolutely amazing. I love Caesar's and I was staying there mainly because I had front row tickets to Celine (huge fan) but she's not going to be there when I go next time so I want to stay at a new hotel. I was thinking MGM Grand... we went in there and it was amazing. I haven't been in Mandilay Bay but I heard that's nice. So many hotels, so it's hard to choose! Money isn't really the issue, I am looking for quality.

Thanks!

"Nice" is objective and relative. I would recommend you check out http://www.tripadvisor.com/ there you can read all kinds of reviews and draw your own conclusions. You can also book from that site.

As a local if money were no object the Wynn is heads above the rest but that having been said as far as bang for the buck I would choose the luxor pyramid spa suite. The room has a nice sitting area and a jacuzzi in the bedroom right next to the window. The rooms are very nice and you will get to ride the inclinator to your room which is like an elevator but it goes up and sideways at the same time. This room runs $140- about $250 per night during the week its a steal. you won't find a Jacuzzi suite any cheaper in Vegas without having to share it with the roaches. The other cool thing is it is connected with both the Excalibur and Mandalay Bay

Mandalay Bay has the famous sand bottom pool which creates waves like the beach. It's at the south end of the strip. It's not close to too many things. If you're going to drive, that's fine. Or take a taxi. Bellagio and Wynn are at the top now. Wynn is 5 stars and is the newest. It's at the end of the strip but right across from the Fashion Show Mall. Bellagio has the water dancing show in the front and it is in the center of the strip. Bellagio has the best Buffet I've ever had... I think they have the famous O show.

If you want the best room(suite), try the Venetian. It's also my #2 pick behind Caesars as the best "overall" resort in LV.
http://www.venetian.com >sign up for their e-mail updates, the Venetian is very good about sending out special promotional rates.

MGM is a very nice hotel, but their rooms compare more to the LV Hilton, they are nowhere near as nice as the deluxe Palace Tower room you had at Caesars.

"Money isn't really the issue" >Then pick out a great resort hotel and take your pick of suites, any 4 or 5 star resort hotel in LV is going to have awesome suites.

We go to LV 2-3 times a year for 2 weeks or more at a time and have for over 20 years.

I like Treasure Island the best. It's in a great location & the hotel itself isn't as "hectic" as most of the others.

The casino is a nice size & you're not "overwhelmed" by it. After a day on the move, with sightseeing & stuff, you want to come back to a relaxing atmosphere.

Enjoy your trip!!!

i went there twice and stayed in 3 hotels. my 1st choice would be excalibur they have great service and furnitures and food. but if you like swimming i suggest monte carlo cuz they have the awesome pool that goes around by itself. MGM is pretty good sooo here are some choices you could consider

Signature at the MGM, you won't regret it. NY NY is good too but the rooms are smaller.

if money is not an issue - definitely the winn (or is it wynn?) Anyway - this place even makes the bellagio look average.
