If your mail wasn't forwarded and they assume that you got the jury duty summons, there may not be anything you can do. On the other hand, if you were to explain that you have moved into a new location and didn't get the summons. You may be able to avoid a contempt charge. You just need to call the clerk of the court you were to appear in and find out what the situation is. It sounds as though there has been a warrant issued for your arrest. I hope this works out for you, going to jail is a drag for something like this.

Whoever said to contact the court BEFORE a warrant is issued is too late. The fact 2 officers showed up looking for you means the warrant has ALREADY been issued. If you can convince the court you moved before the summons was issued, and that you never received the summons, you may be able to avoid penalties. However, if you sister is currently living at the address to which the summons was sent, someone will have to explain why she did not inform you that she had received a court document addressed to you. The fact is was a court document of some sort should be clear without opening the envelope.

Contact the courts and reschedule your jury duty. Before you have a warrant.
I do believe that law is the same as in Texas.

You'll be fined. Show up at the court, explain what happened, apologize to the judge, and you should be able to make it up. If you're lucky or convincing, you may even get the fine waived.

You have a bench warrant. Turn yourself in, let them know you failed to change your address.. Be sure to make it known that you won't miss it again!

Gather proof of your move and then contact the court in the jurisdiction you moved from.
