It is PUNTA CANA not PUTA this means hooker !
It is DOMINICAN REPUBLIC not DIMINICA REPUBLIC

yes and no

in summer, when the Atlantic coast is on Eastern Daylight Savings time, NJ and the DR.....and PR, the Virgin Islands....are the same time.

IN winter, when you guys have gone back to Eastern Standard Time, you are one hour behind the Caribbean.....ie 4 pm in Jersey is 5 pm here in the Caribbean

No, there isn't. I went there two weeks ago, I was on vacations. Punta Cana is very beautiful.

No, same time zone. To find this out, look at a map or globe. If the two places fall in between the same two lines of longitude (north to south), it's in the same time zone almost all of the time.
