Just to make things easier, we'll call the 16-year old 'Jim' and his brother 'Garrett'. We'll call your cousin 'Mary', just to make things less confusing. So first of all, it is totally wrong of Mary to go out with Garrett just so she can get closer to Jim. TOTALLY wrong. Second, do you really want to risk ruining a friendship with Jim over a short relationship? To be honest, you probably won't like him for that much longer anyways and friendships last much much longer. To sum it up, wait for Jim to make a move, and if he doesn't, just be happy as friends.

You and your cousin should see if the boy in question asks either of you out. I'm serious, now. Neither of you should go after the guy until he makes it apparent that he likes either of you, so you and your cousin don't get into a rivalry over a boy who may not like either of you that way. Continue to be "mates" with the boy as you always would, but don't mention any thing romantic until he makes the first move or be prepared for cousin trouble!!! God Bless, Martha S

Ok, well I think if you now the boy well enough, you should go for it. Life's too short to worry about rejection. Just go up to him casually and say" Hey,(his name) I like you a lot and I've finally gotten the courage after all this years to say this. Will you go out with me." You could also say, depending on if you can date alone or not" Want to hang out sometime, like a date?"

Hmmm, its kinda hard to decide if he likes you by just the info given. Try and flirt with him a little and give him signs that you like him and are interested. He will pick up on it and most likely make a move if not you might have too. Good Luck!

oh pleassee your a little girl get over him, he's 16, and i dont think a 16 year old is into a 14 year old. IF he does want to date you, its only for one reason only-and thats SEX.

Dilaila, Dear you should wait and for now focus on getting a good education. School lasts only awhile, love and lust is eternal !

you shouldn't be here....
teenagers today just worry about unimportant topics....

why don't you grab a book and start learning something else instead of trying to see what you can do to get a boyfriend.
