Blue smoke is caused by burning oil, if it only puffs for a minute on initial start up and it isn't using oil I wouldn't worry. It is really common for newer fuel injected engines to blow a small amount off blue smoke on cold startup.

You are burning oil. If it only does this after start up and the amount is low, it's probably valve seals. If you can see blue smoke at any time (usually when accelerating), probably rings.
Without knowing the history of that car, I would doubt the mileage is really only 65k, but if you're sure it is, how well has this been maintained? Toyota products are not known for problems like this at such low mileage.
Until you get it fixed - check your oil frequently, and carry some with you in the trunk so you don't have to pay gas station prices for a quart now and then.
Good luck!

It's burning oil. Probably worn valve seals and some oil is collecting in the cylinders after you turn it off. If you dont want to get new seals right away(expensive) then try some high mileage oil - it has seal conditioners and might help.
If it's only doing this when it starts up or starts up after sitting for a while you don't have anything immediate to worry about, but like most problems, it will get worse, so get it checked out sooner rather than later.

It is burning oil. You need to go check your oil NOW and make sure there is still enough in your engine. I had a car that burned oil at a very low rate and I would put new oil in every two weeks or so--unless I was in stop and go traffic or drove over 30 miles a day; then, I had to put new oil in more frequently.
If you run out of oil your engine will DIE and you will have to get a new one. Don't let this happen!!!

Hopefully you didn't put too much in. You let it settle and then checked the dipstick, right? Otherwise blue smoke is a sign of something serious. It means oil is getting into the combusion chambers, so something to do with rings, seals or gaskets most likely. /p

It's burning oil one of many reasons it could be the valve stem seals, piston rings or starting of a head gasket leak.
Best to get it checked out

Oil, check your oil! Be sure you have enough in your engine. If your burning a lot look at getting a rebuilt motor, or replacing the car. (Depending on what car you have) Dont ignore this problem, it will coem back to bite you! and probably soon!

Your engine is burning oil, usually due to worn rings. Unfortunately you're looking at an engine rebuild to cure the problem.
