If I were Iran I would want a nuke! The US invaded Afghanistan (with an honest reason) and then Iraq (with no honest reason). So now Iran has US forces to their east and west and the White House has made noises about military action against them. By W's own opinion that a unilateral, preemptive strike is OK, Iran would be justified in attacking us now. We are more of a threat to Iran than Iraq ever was to us and we attacked Iraq!

I don't think that Iraq is much of a nation anymore. It's government is barely functioning, it's in the midst of a civil war, another country is really running the show.
It stopped being a nation 4 years ago.
Why are we still building them?

If Iraq breaks up, terrorists all over the world will see it as a victory. If they claim a victory, terrorists all over the world will see that terrorism can prevail and then they will feel unstoppable.
Iran's president has been saying that Israel needs to be wiped off the face of the map. A perfect weapon to do that with would be a nuclear bomb. Now, Iran doesn't have to launch the weapon...they can pay a terrorist to drive it right into Israel and blow it up in Jerusalem...it was done before a while back with a dirty bomb...though the terrorist got caught at a checkpoint and never completed his mission...thankfully.
What is going on the Middle-East is very scary. Turmoil has swept that region and no one really knows who will come out on top in the end.
My guess is, that the Americans and Israel will prevail in the end. If we continue to stop terrorist attacks on our own soil, we will have beaten the terrorists...The terrorists get funding from oil (Most middle-eastern countries depend on oil for their money...they use the money they get to fund terrorists). According to several analysts, oil is going to run out in 30 years. This means no more big funding for terrorists. I think this is why Iran is making the bomb...they know their time is limited and they want to make as much damage as possible before their funding drops.
Israel is currently at war with every Arab nation with the exception of Jordan and Egypt. Israel is pretty much surrounded by her enemies. But, with the amount of security, technology, and troops they have, I think if they are attacked again, they will prevail in the end.

Afghanistan was not invaded with an honest reason. The Taleban asked for proof that there were people responsible for 9/11 and the US never provided this basic requirement in extradition law.
The US is harboring terrorist Luis Posada Carriles. A request for extradition has been filed. Is that a good reason to invade the US? harboring terrorists/?
