If you were an actor, would you do your own stunts?

Some stunts look like a lot of fun, esp the car ones.

In my younger days, absolutely. Now that I'm older, I would do some but certainly not all of them.

Not if you had any sense. Many actors claim to do their own stunts to try to appear macho but it would be a foolish Director who allowed it. If the main actor on a film injured himself production would probably have to stop although all the crew, other actors, technicians and so on would still need to be paid until shooting resumed. It would also delay releasing the film thus losing box office profits. Many films cost millions of dollars to make but can be shot in four to six weeks. Imagine that. If a film cost $100,000,000 to produce and took, say, ten weeks, then the cost is $10,000,000 per week. A broken arm or leg can take six weeks to heal. Doesn't take a genius to work out that losing a stuntman to a broken leg is a lot cheaper than a movie star.

Yeah I will indeed. I think many of the actors can do their own stunts taking into consideration the level of difficulty of some stunts. I guess the issue has to do with job creation.!

No, because the stunts that stunt men do are dangerous and they risk their lives and if I were an actor I cant go risking my life because Im famous and people need me LOL

Depends on the stunts....I would definitely jump off a building, but I wouldn't do too much with underwater stuff

But I would be careful as Harrison Ford injured himself doing his stunts
