I want to have a professional job like a teacher, doctor or a lawyer. I know I could become a teacher, but I am also dran to medicine and law. I like History and Politics, therefore I think I would do well in law school, but I am also drawn to the medical profession. I just don't think I would be able to handle medical school. So I'm looking for teachers, lawyers and doctors who can tell me what school was like and for the 2 last careers, what was your undergraduate studies and what was med/law school like?

Teaching is a noble profession. It is sheer joy to see how little kids develop into educated beings and to see them apply that new knowledge in their lives. The greatest joy [for me] is when a child thanks me at the end of a particular year or of his/her school career for the itsy- bitsy, little role that I've played in their lives.
I still have very good relationships with my ex-pupils and am particularly proud when I see them reaching their full potential in life. But I am equally sad about the ones that who fall along the way and fail to reach their God-given destiny in life.

You will off course, never become rich in this profession as teachers are the most underrated and least appreciated profession in the world [or at least in my country].
But I believe it is a calling, for your satisfaction lies not in the accumulation of worldly goods as such, but in the impact that you make on young, impressionable minds.

It is also a very demanding job, but with Christ in you, you will make it.

history and politics have very little use in law. Back in the old, old days, people might have studied that before going on into law. Now, you only pick those majors if you're truly interested in those subjects or if you just want an easy major to boost your GPA.

I don't know what to say. College was pretty easy for me. I was a Criminology major. Went to an undergrad that's usually ranked in the 30s or 40s. So, good, but not great.

Went to a first tier law school. Kids there were IMPRESSIVE. Very smart people. Was intellectually challenged for the first time since high school. Tough, but interesting. Lots of reading.
