is there a maker on the camera?? go the their website, and download the drivers you need for the camera..

Do you know the brand of the camera? Go to the manufacturer website and look for the model and download the driver. It's free and easy to install, so you won't have any problems.

When you tried to install the webcam, did you have windows scan for drivers to us, or have it use the internet for searching for specific drivers to use.
Another option is to go to the webcams manufactures website to search for the driver there.
