is he really my best friend???

well...i supposed to know that he is my best friend....i like him so much ..but now i m feeling confused...i like to make fun very much...sometimes i do ecess fun but later i apologize for that...and he knows dat very well that making fun is my habit...but it seems that he doesnt like it..and if i do something he tries to make double fun on me..sometimes its very rude and it hurts me...i said dis to him..and he said it's a tit for tat...but i think in friendship there should be no such things like this..if he dislikes he should tell me..and i will stop..now i m thinking he doesnt consider me as a friend like i do...what should i do..should i stay far and keep a normal friendship?

Funny as this is going to sound your guys problem is an intimacy issue, I know, I know thats suppose to be sexual, but it also goes into the realm of emotional and mental connection. See you guys most likly don't have much of a purpose to the friendship, you just have it. So you guys have a sort of... social shared ego that is the groups idenity. Unfornuntly from what I'm getting her you guys havn't really made it to a point were you mutal know how to respect each other. The only good way to do this is thru a shared hobby, like girl chasing, drug using, sports playing, or anything else, but this way you guys see a more realistic understanding of what you feel for each other and this way the friendly joshin your doing what mean much. We all go thru this phase its just a matter of you guys knowing that you do respect each other, just making it to that point can sometimes be a trick and is "special" (sorry to use that word....) for each group... good luck!
