I have sprained my ankle 3 times before. Once when i was younger when i was running about, a 2nd time was when i was jumping a reasonable distance off about a metre high step, and the recent time was when i fell on my foot at an ankle when i was on my trampoline.

Each time has prevented me from being able to walk for a couple of weeks and has put me in lots of pain and even when i can walk, it takes months to heal properly.

Recently, i have mildly twisted my ankle which involves it swelling up, but i am still able to walk, twice, in the same month when i was hill walking.

Is somthing wrong with my ankle? I am only 15!

You have what's called Chronic Ankle Instability from not re-training the balance and gaining back the strength in your ankle muscles from the previous strains. I strongly recommend that you go to see a physical/physio therapist to get the strength and balance back in your ankle, otherwise you will continue to have this problem. Your ligaments are so lax at this point that you need to rely more on the muscles to maintain the stability.

it is probably sprained. It sounds like your ankle is weak, probably from the past sprains which leave you more vunerable for future ones. I would ice it and once the pain goes away, start some strenghening excersise to help prevent future injurys.

The following link should be very helpful.

You probably sprained it again. Put ice on the swollen area to keep the swelling down. It is not unusual for a sprained ankle to swell slightly.

this used to happen to me all the time until i started to wear [sorry to have to say this] sensible shoes. wedgies were the worst. wearing flat shoes with treads of some kind on the sole made a big difference. hope this helps a bit.

once you have sprained your ankle you are more likely to do it again since you have stretched ligements and tendons out. i suggest goingt o physical therapy and doing the excersizes that they give you to strengthen it.
