I need a base for my eyeshadows but I can't afford them cuz they are too expensive. Is using chapstick or vaseline as a base alright? Or does anyone know a good, cheep, e/s base for around 5 bucks. lol. Yes, I'm so cheap.

Vaseline is gonna make it slip. Not stay. Use a cream to powder base.

i know u said u dont use foundation or concealer but get sum concealor. It will make ur eyeshodaow stay on longer find a good one tho and of course the same color. It will make ur eyeshadow stay on alot longer. Also another cool little trick is to use a cream eyeshadow first(close to the color u r goin 2 use or a white one) and then apply the eyeshadow afterwards...ur eyeshadow will show up a whole lot more doin these and it won't *** off as easily

I don't know about chapstick or vaseline, but I use the Loreal base and it really works, plus I think it's only like 6 bucks.

As one of the previous members said, lip balm or Vaseline will make eye shadow slip. It will also lead to creasing.
Try using just a tiny dab of foundation or a light concealer instead.
If you have oily lids, then stick w/ powder eye shadows. Revlon Color Stay eye shadows are pretty good.

No, as an make up artist, i can allow you to comprehend that as quickly as you utilize concealer on your eyes, it incredibly is going to reason the creases to coach, and become spotty. incredibly use a sparkling q-tip with slightly infant powder on the attention lids, and continuously placed your darkish eye shadow on the lid, and the mild above, because it opens the eyes and removes that sleepy look!

I do this all the time! Just buy a plain old chapstick. Mine has SPF, as well.
