Malta is quite variable in prices, you can find a lot of cheap and good restaurants while in Malta.

A Pint will be about €2 (more or less).
Dinner will be about €20 up.
Accommodation will be about:
Self catering apartment will be €30 up for 2 persons (www.cometogozo.com)
5 star hotel € 100 up.
Taxis very expensive.
IMPORTANT: I am talking about Gozo - Malta's Sister Island which is quieter and less expensive than Malta!!!!!

Uhm - good question.
Define expensive - and why do you ask this in The Netherlands? Malta isn`t part of The Netherlands (we wish).

U dont get pints, u only get bottles, usually there about 1.50.

i dont know how expensive it is, but im guessing you cant afford to buy it, its probably worth more than you have.
If you really wanna buy an island, go for a small one!
