Another poster asked why women are so attracted to celebrities and rock stars, so I was wondering why men are so attracted to models and celebrities?

Because it takes alittle time for the us to transition from thinking from out little head to thinking froum our heart and the bigger head!!!
But to those of my gender who are fortunate enough to quickly move to the second stage are the lucky ones.
A woman is more than a body ................................much more than that .............takes time!!!!
A man has to be patient if he isnt he is a big loser.

Men tend to be drawn to a woman's physical appearance before anything else. Models and celebrities are made up to look beautiful. So men are going to be attracted to them. However, most men will maintain their attraction or lose it after getting to know a woman so the physical attraction is only a beginning.

fjito or whatever your name is, few models have big boobs. They're skinny for a reason. Designers want to see their clothes, not some chicks ****.
But to answer the question: Men always want what they can't have. Give them a model or a celebrity and in a week they'll be pinning for the girl next door. Besides a week is about how long it'll take for a model/celebrity to totally crush their sense of manhood. Bet!

Because men in western cultures are obsessed with sex. Many celebrities sell themselves as sexual objects. I'm assuming these are the kind of models and celebrities you're referring to. So men eat them up (in more ways than one).
Oh and as for beauty? Well most models and celebrities blindly adhere to the strict, though often unhealthy beauty standards (anorexia) of their culture. Men are visually oriented and have a tendency to be superficial when it comes to looks.

I believe it is because they are unatainable. It is'nt always the case that these people are that great looking. It is just that it is highly unlikely for a normal man to ever speak to these women. They are the unknown. A man could have a gorgeous girlfriend and still want the model on T.V.

Because the models and celebrities are well painted up with cosmetics and such. Pictures are air brushed making them look perfect. No human is perfect throughout even tho they may look that way. Everybody has "faults".
Men enjoy looking but 99% would NOT enjoy being married to one of these type women. Men are just lookers. We are made that way, are that way and always will be that way.\
So models and celebrities "appear" to be the perfect females.

no darling their not attracted to the celebrity or the model their attracted to the body they look at them and think oooh id like a piece of that if you know what i mean the boy brain functions in 3 different pieces 25% football 25% other and 50% sex.

because most of the time they are beauiful and they can't get them so why not. men think about women constantly and it's not anything new that they would be attracted to models and celebrities.

Eh? Are they? As far as I'm counting I've got too many male celebrities on my wall and on my pc to even begin to start to answer that question. I'm sure the interior of my room will frighten even the bravest man. hahaha.

Well, personally, I am attracted to women; so since the models and some celebs fall into that category - do the math.
