My brother is going this year we are waiting for his student visa. Is there anything you think he should know before he gets there? He will be arriving late and most likely miss orientation because he still does not have his Student Visa. Any suggestions or advise is appreciated.
Thanks and God Bless,

G'day,

Well guys... despite of your disapproval of Hillsong, it actually has a college for Ministry studies, offering Certificate, Diploma and Advanced diploma levels and listed under CRICOS list from Dept of Education. So it is accredited and recognised. Dun get me wrong, I'm not supporter or cynics, just informing the facts.

Now back to you Merie... sorry abt the sidetrack :)
Below is the link from the college abt what clothes to bring and what's the climate like.

I strongly suggest that you contact the international office ASAP to inform them that your brother is going to have late enrolment and whether it is OK with them. Sometimes the embassy also require the confirmation letter from the college since he is going to start late.

How about accommodation? Has it been arranged by the college? Airport pick-up?

Hope you and your brother be able to make it alright. E-mail me at mikegun@studentfirst.com.au if you have any further queries. Good luck for the study and welcome to Sydney :)

hey! well hills has more people and the main resources and facilities. but is a bit out of the city. and the city is less people ,lesser up to date facilities , but right in the city ear a LOVELY theatre! SO it just depends what he wants to do. I'm starting this wednesday too , at Hills, so it'd be cool if he gets here in time for orientation. You can call in and check status and things too. did you apply online? because they only notified my acceptance through email. then they just lazer stamp your passport once you get to australia. umm.
other than that just have a blast. Im in worship and creative arts and some of the courses are basic, but if you have past courses you can apply to by pass the boring stuff i think.
Good luck you guys! Where are you from?

Woah Hilsong is a very touchy subject amoung Christians here so you are going to get a lot of crazy answers. I go to another bible college in Syd and there arent really things that you can say. Be prepared to work hard and be open minded about what God is teaching. And visit other areas too. Australia has some of the most fantastic places. God bless

My best tip for you is don't go near them. They are supposedly religious but the organisers cream the money off the top and live lives of luxury on the tithes of the gullible. They are the religious right in Australia and have already taken control of much of the Liberal Party in NSW. Gloria Jean's Coffee is tithed to Hillsong so don't go near it unless you want to support the intolerant bigots.

No Christian I know has anthing to do with Hillsong, they are a most un-Christian organisation.

Don't give that devil spawned money grubbing cult a cent of your money. They profess to spread the Gospel, but all they do is fleece your wallet.

Shout at the Devil
