No player got more than 10,000? Nope.
Soriano, who was in third place, had 1,332,581 votes. Bonds was behind him with 1,213,423 votes.
Major League Baseball spokesman Pat Courtney said there is no way to know the origin of the votes that put Bonds over Soriano.
"It's just the way it goes," Courtney said. "It's not unique. We've seen people make a big push at the end."

The Final NL Update from June 25 shows:
Beltran - 1,698,217
Griffey - 1,640,575
Soriano - 1,332,581
Bonds - 1,213,423
The Final Results (not sure about Soriano) were:
Griffey - 2,986,818
Beltran - 2,511,242
Bonds - 2,325,391
Bonds increased votes by 1,111,968
Griffey increased by 1,346,243
Beltran increased by 813,025
Regardless of what you think of Bonds, his additional votes don't seem strange compared with the two other NL outfield All-Stars. Here are sources...

If it looks like a fish and smells like a fish, it's fishy.
San Francisco is a much smaller market than most people realize and Bonds does not have the broad cross-over appeal in other cities that most players enjoy.
I would love ESPN or someone to figure out how unprecedented this really was.

It was the rest of intelligent and educated America that realized that his skill is not entirely due to false steroid allegations.
San Francisco cast and finished their balloting long before the deadline and thus, not sure why people are saying SF voters stuffed the ballot boxes when fans are only allowed 25 votes each.....

I am not sure I agree with your numbers and it would be helpful if you could provide a reference for your numbers. With that being said, there is always a last minute push from the fans of certain players to get them in the game.

How many times did Barry vote for himself... ?
It is pretty sad that he made it to the All-Star game. Hopefully this will be his last.

What do you mean no player got more than 10,000. Most players got hundreds of thousands and all starters got over 1,000,000 or more votes.

Why can't people accept that bonds isn't as hated as the media & some fans make it out to be? If the fans didn't want him in he wouldn't have been voted in.
