There is no set time requirement for carpet replacements. To do so would be absurd, since it would inevitably send some very good carpeting to the local landfill.

Carpeting may be used until it is no longer serviceable from wear, staining, or pet abuse.

There's no set replacement interval. It can remain as long as it's serviceable. I used quality carpeting in my units and 15 or more years of service was common. At least one still has 30 year old carpeting in it and it still is holding up very well.

it depends on the type of renter.i usually replace mine with per-go too much abuse in rentals for good carpet.
