i have 8 three toed box turtles.and i want to know when and how they will mate

When?
Time of year is right after coming out of hibernation- March or April usually. Age is when they are sexually mature- about four years old or so usually.
How? After a courtship dance, the male will get on top of the females shell back near the rear and reach his tail to her tail. He will use his claws to try to hold on, and she will often try to dislodge him.
