As an Asian-American guy who was born and raised in TN and whose family has been here for over 100 years, I sometimes wonder what a lot of White Americans think about the increasing diversity that is inevitable in the USA. Even in Memphis, which is basically a White and Black city, I see a few more minorities here than I used to 10 years ago. I often feel like a lot of White and Black people assume all people who aren't white and black must be foreigners and are "invading their country." It makes me angry/frustrated, but I wonder if a lot of White Americans are really worried that "their way of life" is in danger from all of the "invading foreigners." I have always considered myself all-American, but most people don't see me that way bc of how I look. I'm wondering what will happen when Hispanics become the largest minority in the country. Are White Americans pissed that minorities are coming here?

Most (as in like 70%) of the people that say sh*t like "They shouldn't be here they are taking all our jobs." are White. Some are not racist but they probably want to still have things the way they used to be. Not so many illegal aliens. Which is all bullshit because would you want to be mowing a lawn or cleaning a hotel room or re-putting water into a pool. No I didn't think so. Having imigrant workers is perfectly fine because they are pretty much doing the jobs we don't want to do so they can support they're families. I wanna be a psychologist not a waitress.

P.S. I love diversity, I think its best. When I'm around too many people of one race I cringe.

A lot of people are upset about illegal aliens these days but White Christians have been known to take their anger out on everyone not a white Christian as to many of them the only true American is a White Christian.

It's not concerning that it's becoming more diverse. It's concerning that some ethnic groups insist on making America just like their old country, thus suppressing things like English as a primary language.

As far as I am concerned, as long as someone isn't trying to tell me what to think or believe, I don't really care where they come from if they are coming to get an education, or become citizens, or just visiting. Identifying yourself as Asian-American, or African-American might add to the problem. If you are a citizen you are an American. My family came from Europe, but I don't call myself a Polish-American or a English-American or a Scottish-American.
