The living rooms and kitchens are always beautiful and same with the parents rooms most times. But for the kids rooms, they don't build them so the kid can grow with it. Would you want to be 15 and still sleeping in a tree house room? And some of them super tacky and don't leave room for change as they get older. How come they don't do something basic that they can grow with? Do most of the families stay in those houses afterwards? I'd like to see an Update show on the families.

I just think they're trying to do something "over the top" for the kids they're making bedrooms for. Lots of those kids have been through alot of heartache and tough times, so they're giving them a real refuge by creating an environment in their room that they can get lost in. I know they'll need to renovate as they get older, but in the meantime, the rooms are usually awesome. And I'd love to see update shows for some of the families as well.

finally someone else wondering that too. I always tell my husband when we watch, how ridiculous they are putting in all that time and money into rooms that will need to be changed in just short times. Seems a waste to me.

I thought last season when they put the sandbox in the little boy's bedroom that it was a little over the top. I always wondered about that myself.

yep. and some of the people who had their houses redone on that show said that some of the stuff is crappy when they change it.
