I want to take my kids swimming, and want to know if it is ok to swim in this water?

Sure it is! I've been there a couple times. The water is chilly though

It depends on where you're swimming. If you're up north somewhere, I wouldn't hesitate a minute. If you're along the docks near Port Huron or Sarnia, I think you're taking your chances. Your best info would probably come from the local health department in the area where you want to go swimming.

sauble beach and that area should be alright but freaking cold though.

i don't see why not, unless it says 'no swimming'. then no.
