it is simplified..

is the x correct in the denom.?

unless you wanted:

(a - b)(a - b)
----------------
2(x+2)

a^2 - 2ab + b^2 =(a-b)^2
----------------------------------
2x+4 = 2(x+2)

(a-b)^2
-------------
2(x+2)
