I would have to pick someone that you wouldn't know, my grandfather. My grandfather passed away a few weeks before school ended, his name was John Meyer from my mom's side. He was a great man and he'd do anything for his country. I know because he was in World War 1 and 2. He was lucky to survive, but like I said before, he would do anything for his country. I think he would be a great leader for this country because he always knew how to deal with stuff and handle it rather than wave at it as it passes by. He knew how to speak his mind and not let others do it for him. He knew how to be himself and not act all powerful and "I can do anything I want" like George Bush does, too. I believe that he would've won the election because everybody would've believed in what he said because he always stuck to his word and never let go until he got things accomplished. He was a great man and our family misses him much. That's the way it has to be. Life is unfair, we just have to find a way to get through it. Even though it's hard, our family has to stick together. He might have been a little too old for winning the election, but I still believe in him. Thank you for listening to what I have to say and please don't think what I'm saying isn't true because it is, you can even look it up on the Internet. Thank you so much.

I am democratic and this is just going to sound so stupid but I think Rudy Giuliani could do a good job. I just don't think Hillary Clinton is going to be able to get enough of the votes. It's really up to the democratic party, and their priorities. What's more important-- to have our first female president or lose trying to Republicans? I'm not saying she couldn't win, I think she is perfectly capable of being president, I just couldn't see it happening. So, with the choices left from the Republicans, I would pick Rudy.

You sure are asking a lot of political questions.
I know no one I would pick for president.
All the famous people that I would trust are doing a great job at what they are doing now and I wouldn't want them in another job.
It seems lik the president is just a person who does what everyone else wants him to do.
It is really hard to find someone who has good values and will stand up to the multitude of other people who are trying to influence him and still keep on the right track as to what is the best for everyone in the country.
I think Oprah would be good but she can do so much more and have a lot more influence on people being in the position she is.

Senator Dick Lugar of Indiana... Incredibly intelligent, highly respected by Republicans, Democrats, and world leaders. A man of great honesty and integrity too.
I don't think he would win, seeing that he is already 75 years old. He would be 80 by the time 2012 rolls around.
In some ways he would be a "healer" for the country, like Gerald Ford was after Vietnam and Watergate. This country has some deep wounds and divides after 8 years of Clinton and 6.5 years of Dubya & Cheney.
Even if he served only one term, Lugar would get us out of Iraq, make us respected on the world stage again, and restore civility in government.

Dennis Leary. We agree on a lot of the issues and he makes a good case for the ones we don't agree on.
He doesn't duck the hard issues and he doesn't take himself too seriously. That's the most important thing. Too many people in politics take themselves way to seriously. That not only gets them and us along with them into trouble, but then we can't get out because they can't admit they made a mistake.
Just once, I'd like to hear a political leader say, "Look! I screwed up, ok? I don't know what I was thinking. Can you help me out here? We need to make this right." It would be America's salvation in a lot of ways.
Then too, Leary is bulletproof. If the Right climbs on his case, he can make fun of their hypocrisy. If the Left gets on him for a Politcal Correctness faux pas, they're in for a world of humiliation.
We could put Jeff Foxworthy on the ticket for geographic balance. "You might be Vice President if....."

Ron Paul. Because he is the only one who respects the Constitution and wants to start having the government rule by it again.
He would win hands down if they gave him the same amount of time that they do the top tier candidates.

Powell as president
Schwarzkopf as vice president.
Powell is very good in Washington and Schwarzkopf knows the Middle East better than anyone. He put together the coalition for Desert Storm and keep Israel out of it.
They won't win because they are honest and blunt with people and that is not acceptable in today's politics.
