Would I be looking at speed when I buy a used iBook G4? Does it normally have more speed than a PC?

no it has far less speed. it has an old motorola g4 processor. its a rly old processor, b/c they could not put a g5 into a notebook b/c a g5 requires a lot of cooling. save ur money and get a macbook

It depends what you are doing with it. It is fast enough to access the web, do word processing and handle simple photo projects. If something in Photoshop takes 5 seconds to process on a new Macbook, it might take 20 on a G4. Odds are you won't notice the difference unless you are a computer geek.
