Was he a good player?
Good is an understatement. Muggsy completed a dream run in the nba. He was phenomenal! Consider his size. 5 feet, 3 inches. The best characteristic, however, was his heart and his will to succeed against the odds. More over, Muggsy inspired everyone under 6 feet that it could be done. Making it to the NBA even without being blessed with a 6 foot 6 inch jordan-like frame or being a 7 footer who can move and shoot the 3 like Dirk. I grew up not far from Charlotte and watched Muggsy, Zo, Dell Curry, Kendall Gill, and Larry Johnson, and Glen Rice create what was becoming an increadible program in Charlotte.

Muggsy was a good player and he wasn't standing out because of players Larry Johnson and Alonzo Mourning. Don't forget he also played for the Bullets/Wizards franchise as well

He was the man. He beat the odds and was a great point guard. I use to be the hornets all the time back in the day on NBA JAM for Super Nintendo. He was my go to guy!

I loved Muggsy...he signed my shoes at a Kings game when I was in grade school...and already taller than he was. He was strong and fast and did a great job of dishing the ball off to LJ, Zo, and Kelly Tripucka back in the day. Play on, Muggsy, play on!

To play in this league at 5'3" you had to be awesome. I loved watching him play especially on the court standing next to a seven footer. Mugsy could play.

For his size, and the amount of years he played with that stigma on his back about being too short.. Well I say yes, because he did something that most guys now would quit on. He put those doubters on their asses for 11 years
