IE 7. Only used Safari 3 a couple times, so I'm just not use to it. Keep IE7 updated and you won't have many security issues with it. Like for instance if you're actually going to be using one on a main network server. Why the extra space wasting and extra security risk from downloading more programs on a server? More programs you have running on a server, the more attackers can gather information, exploits, etc..

For Personal Computer use though it's all up to you.

Define "best." Both do what they are supposed to do. I have found Safari to be more resilient to security risks, but that probably isn't a fair comparison simply because the number of Explorer users vs. Safari users.

I have found many similarities between Firefox and Safari; so if you like one, you should like the other.

Anything is better than IE7. Safari, but I prefer Firefox.
