Anything can cause it but there are increased risks with smoking, drinking or taking drugs while pregnant.

The age when a baby is classed as still born is 23-24 weeks.

Relax I'm sure you'll be fine.

during pregnancy we are so full of why does this happen and what if it does . Its really hard not to think about all the bad thinks that could happen.

you wanted to know what causes still born babies well thats not a question anyone can really answer except God. Dr. arent sure of the cause either I mean there can be many factors drug use, drinking, ect ect many times babies are born this way to mothers who dont do anything wrong and get the best prenatal care. Sometimes bad things happen.

relax sweetie, you are gonna be fine , Put your trust in God and everything will work out ! Try not to focus on the bad . Focus on all the wonderful things thats happing right now . Just wait unitll you fell your baby move for the first time . It is amazing!

I wish you a lifetime of happiness with your new add. CONGRADS!

Lee, almost everyone who is pregnant goes through the same worries. There are some things you can do - like not smoke, eat right, see your doctor on schedule and follow his or her instructions. Sometimes something just goes wrong and nobody knows why. But most likely everything will be fine, and in a few months you'll have a healthy baby. Quit stressing. It's very normal, but also unnecessary.

Congratulations, and good luck.

First relax and Congrats on the baby.
You can talk to you doctor about how to keep your baby healthy as possible during your pregnacy.

Things that I can recomend are taking prenatal vitamines to ensure the babys health.
Make sure you don't drink or smoke to make sure your babies health isn't at risk.

As long as you go to regular check-ups with your doctor to make sure all is well and eat healthy and exersize regularly you should have a healthy safe pregnency.
All the best!

Calm down girl. Everyone that has been pregnant has the same fears. As long as the doc says you are fine then don't fret. You should worry if you don't feel the baby move like you normally would. You and your baby will be fine. Congrats!!! Enjoy that little baby!

To answer your question: The causes of still births are still relatively unknown, but here is a site that may offer some insight (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stillbirth#Causes)

***BUT I RECOMEND NOT LOOKING AT IT***
I know that you have lots of things to be scared of ... but it is really best for your well being ... and your childs ... if you think of POSITIVE things. I am sure you know that lots of things can go wrong, but it doesn't mean that they will. Think about how cute your baby will be when he/she is born, think about being able to kiss their 10 tiny fingers and 10 tiny toes, their little nose and how sweet they will smell. Think about what you are going to name him/her. Read to your bell, sing and think POSITIVE ... don't worry your entire pregnancy about what will go worng, you will be miserable and can cause undue stress to your baby! My best wishes to you and your new baby!

Honey, it's normal to have these thoughts. My Mom had 6 miscarriages after me so trust me...I KNOW your fears. I worried myself to death about my kids. No one knows the cause of death during the growth period (stillborn). Sweetie, take a deep breath, and count your blessings one moment at a time.

Its normal to worry but its not good to stress for you or the baby!! Just relax everything will be just fine. Just don't smoke drink, do any illegal drugs or any OTC drugs without talking to your doctor first.
