no that doesn't mean that harry is a horcrux. it just means that while one is alive the other has to die.

Isn't the horcux where Voldemort left part of his sole. Didn't Dumbeldore say he did this with his sole a long time before Harry was born? It would be interesting to find out that Harry's scar is a horcux.

OK first of all, please spell check there's a handy button at the top of the message >.< and Dumbledore not Dumbodor...

Anyway, I really don't think that means that Harry is a Horcrux. Making one must require some difficult and long magic, I doubt it's something that can be done quickly and by accident.

So that leaves the question, maybe Voldemort wanted to make Harry a Horcrux but to me that doesn't make sense. Voldemort is smart, actually he's a genious... evil but genious. And I don't see why on Earth he would decide that putting part of his soul in a living person would be wise, specially when he's so determined to kill him.

And then there's the prophecy, I highly doubt it means that, it simply means that Harry is the person that can vanquish him, maybe because he has the knowledge of the Horcruxes... or because they have brother wands, or simply because it's his destiny.

The prophecy doesn't say that one can't live without the other... it says that neither of them can live while the other person survives. Harry can't live while Voldemort still has power; Voldemort can't live while Harry still poses a threat to him.

If it said that neither can die while the other survives, then it would make sense, but it says neither can live.

There's a really good essay about what the prophecy might mean, including Harry is a Horcrux theories here:

I have had the exact same theory!! mine had more to it tho..

Harry is going to kill voldemort and because he kills him his soul will then split and create a horcrux and then harry will become immortal and have a half-life state and POSSIBLY become a dark wizard, i have thought about this ever since reading the fifth book...

And...wouldnt it be immposible for harry's scar to be a horcrux because voldemort was powerless after he cursed harry so if he created the horcrux while he was still with harry he could have easily killed him right there

i think his scar is the last one. and j.k.rowling said that 2 characters are going to die, last night i thought it would be both of them. (voldemort and harry), then i thought that j.k. rowling that she would disappoint an insane amount of people if she kills harry off. and i don't think she would have brought the series out this far if she was going to just kill him in the end.
