Good question. Because he can. He defies Congress and the balance of powers of the Constitution at every turn. Congress should begin impeachment immediately. No president, including a Democrat should have this kind of power, which is precisely why the founding fathers created impeachment.

The Dems said "impeachment was off the table" but he and Cheney will not follow the peoples or Congressional will until they file the impeachment papers.

This is about the Constitution, not right or left. How many Conservatives would be happy if a Democrat were President and defying a Republican Congress? Once precedent is established, it is forever changed.

I think you use the word treason out of context here. You could ask this same question about EVERY politician we have. How are they listening to the American voices when they waste valuable time and OUR money trying to pass bills that do nothing more than make a point. It doesn't make sense that we allow our government to be so wasteful. WTF is Ted Kennedy STILL doing in office? WHY do we continue to vote for people who make us look bad & don't serve our needs?
No matter who the President is, he can't make everyone happy. I DO think Bush is just trying to keep us safe. Maybe he's made mistakes, but if people were perfect we'd live in a much different world.
Instead of trying to encite anger and create division among out citizens, why not use Y/A to propose how you'd SOLVE what you forsee as problems? It would seem to make more sense, and we all might help make this world a better place.

BUSH CAMPAIGN 1999 well one out of eight (prosperity) ain't bad :(. But, wait till you find out about the Enron scheme him and Cheney put in place to pay for it.

1. Uniter not divider.
2. Prosperity
3. Education
4. Peace
5. Free Speech
6. Free Religion
7. Rule of Law.
8. Golden Rule/Gay treatment

"I showed the people of Texas that I'm a uniter, not a divider. I refuse to play the politics of putting people into groups and pitting one group against another."

Bushes Priorities as President: One is prosperity: to make sure that we continue to be prosperous by lowering taxes and by fighting off isolationist and protectionist policies and politics. A second priority is to make sure that we educate children. A third priority is to promote the peace. America must be strong enough and willing to promote peace.

"It is essential that the next president be someone who understands America has an important role to play in promoting peace and to encourage others to understand the value of freedom, of free speech, free religion and the importance of the rule of law."

He's made the strongest statements of any Republican candidate about including homosexuals in the American family, and treating them with Christian charity and civic respect. "I was taught," he said in response to Trent Lott's infamous remarks that, "homosexuals should be helped just like alcohol ... or sex addiction ... or kleptomaniacs.'' , Bush said, "that we should look after the beam in our own eye before searching for the mote in someone else's."

Kinda like the way the American people called their Senators to shut down the Immigration Bill and a week later there was a new one almost ready to go through the Senate.

And just who controls the Senate? Dems.

Who brought up the Immigration Bills? Dems.

Sensing a pattern yet?

This is an awakening? This is well known. This thug is above the law in his mind. The entire political front that occupies Washington is so far removed from the people they haven't a clue.

Are you basing this soley on the war?
How about the economy? Taxes? Or would you be happier with 18% inflation (Jimmy Carter) or the highest taxes in American history (Bill Clinton)?
