Jeez. There are so many things wrong with this question that I don't even know where to start.
First of all...your pastor...freakin idiot. He's just another one of those religious "leaders" who is trying to brainwash his congregation. He's probably masking his own homosexual feelings by speaking out against it. The statement that most liberals are gay is just idiotic. If this country is split fairly evenly between liberals and conservatives...that would mean that about half the country is gay! (I wish)
Second of all...why would you be concerned at all about your cousin's sexuality? If he is gay..then he's gay! So what? You sound as if you are concerned that he might have cancer or something. Gayness is not a disease. Whether he's liberal or conservative, gay or straight...it doesn't matter. Don't be "concerned" about his sexuality. I'd be more concerned about attending a church where the pastor is not preaching love and acceptance.

Your pastor is a hate-filled man who obviously skipped over the part of the Bible where Christ commanded us to "love one another." I am a liberal Democrat. I am also straight. I am sick of so-called "Christians" slamming Democrats and liberals because of their own selfish agendas. He calls himself a man of God? God pukes when your pastor talks that way. Just read Revelation 3:16.
You should love your cousin the way Christ instructed you to... not the way your hypocritical liar of a pastor does. You pastor is a man and capable of sin just as much as anyone. He is lost and has been blinded by his own politics to the extreme that he obviously cannot even preach the Gospel because it gets in the way of all the hate he spews out. Christ doesn't love liberals any less than He loves you. Why then should you love them any less?
Go find a new church. I'll pray you can find some truth out there. But your pastor is going to hell with all the gays and transgenders because he is a liar who is tagging his hatred onto God's word.
Find me one place in the Bible where we as Christians are instructed on what our political beliefs are.

No. and not to be offensive, I dont think it is any of your business if he is or not until he comes to you. Also I dont think that your pastor knows what he is talking about because I am actually a little on the conversative side yet I am fully gay and happy. Being of a certain polictical party doesnt have anything to do with your sexual preferrance. Sorry, you cant tell if someone is gay by there party.
