we have already won the military side of this war. we can never stop a crazy murderer in a truck filled with explosives. but we control where ever we are. this is a political war now and it is up to the iraqi people to win that.

We are not going to win the Iraqi Civil War.
The only way the Iraqi civil war will end is if the Iraqis put their petty sectarian attachments and accept basic concepts necessary for a civil society like basic human rights, religious tolerance, and the rule of law. They have not accepted any of them and believe its fine to engage in a sectarian bloodbath.

there is no winning certain wars, and they are best left unfought.
we need to focus on the real war on terror anyway - not the phony talking point war that is more a pr campaign for the bush admin than anything else.

Do you mean, how quickly could they kill every man woman and child in Iraq?
The Brit's already tried that when they invaded in 1917.
They used Poison gas on civilians too.
