there is no set age or time. i have heard people who have gotten it as yyoung as 4th grade, but for me, i got it on vacation the summer after 8th grade. my cousin didnt get it until she was 17. you can look for warning signs though, of course you breasts getting bigger and you hips a little wider. you may start to for a hourglass figure. if you begin to get a white-ish yellow-ish gunk in you panties...you may be your period soon. that is called vaginal discharge. you can also go to your doctor and she can do a test. the test sees how oopen your cervix(i think) is. that can give you an estimate of how many months you have till you get it.

It depends on your body. And just so you know, when I was younger I always wanted my period. But now looking back, I wish I didn't have a period.

Girls usually get it between ages 9 - 15. Some of the signs you could get it are breast developement, pubic hair, and armpit hair. There should also be some discharge for atleast 6 monthes.

Depending on how old you are, I started my first period in 5th grade. Dont be in a hurry, having your period is definetely no picnic, when you do get it you will be wishing you could give it back so dont rush your time will come eventually.

You can start as early as eleven or twelve, but some people don't start until seventeen.
It's rare, but a girl at my high school did that.
The average age for starting your period is your pre-teens into your early teens.

I got mine when i was 12...it dint hurt at all. N i was already briefed about it so i dint freak out when i saw red suddenly ;)

id say these days gurls get them when they are preteens but u can get it later......
