One data point does not a trend make, nor a theory destroyed. Weather on one day in one place means nothing. It's the AGGREGATE that matters. Had you gone to school and studied statistics, you would understand this - but common sense would suffice, so clearly you're lacking on that account.
BTW, no one is surprised that it could ever reach 116 in NYC in July.

Fact is almost all of the record temperatures in most of the US come from long before the whole global warming hysteria started. And a huge chunk of those come from that time frame,mid to late 30's.But we never hear that,nor do we hear about the flaws in how they're coming up with the temperature averages that are being used to promote the global warming myth.

How many libs have I seen for years carrying bottled water now we find out it is one of the worst things to do for environment. I knew that 20 years ago when a friend in a water utility told me most of the waters he analyzed in a private study of bottled waters at the time were had lower levels of quality than the EPA required municipal water utilities to have and when you consider the cost you really were losing.
