For me, it's Target. Their stores are usually clean, the aisles are nice and wide, and their electronics section (minus TVs) usually has just as much selection as Wal-Mart. Everything is categorized in a much more customer-friendly manner.
Then...
Wal-Mart: I work for WM, and I still don't love it. I admire the story of Sam Walton and how he built a great company, and actually, the job and benefits are not bad at all (contrary to popular belief.) However, have you been in a supercenter lately? Talk about dirty anywhere you go. And their prices aren't "Always Low Prices" anymore, really.
K-Mart: Sucks!
Sam's Club v. Costco: I'd vote for Costco. Their membership fee is higher, but their stores and nicer and more upscale than Sam's. It's easier get in, park, shop, and get out of Costco, and I like their selection of general/softline merchandise.
