Would it surprise you that despite what it seems for ESPN and other media outlets most of us don't care what the Yankees are up to unless they are trading with our team. Currently the Yankees have the 9th best record in the AL. The same team in the NL is the Rockies and they certainly don't get covered on sports center beyond the basic highlights.

Eric M. i hope ur talking about the country music star and not the Detroit Tiger. To think that Detroit would think about trading Kenny Rogers, their ace of the rotation that pitched in the world series is ludicris.

Yankees' organization has been reeling by picking up overpaid veterans and not developing any young talent. There is this thing called the minor leagues and the draft. Get some good young players and get ready for next year, yankees are out of the wild card race.

I am sure there is and will be a ton of rumors for all team over the next couple of weeks with the deadline approaching. As far as the Yankees go, they will more than likely need some pitching to make any type of run. They have a line-up that can carry them, but they need some pitching BIG TIME.

Well there was a rumor a while back when they were in Chicago playing the white sox that they were going to trade Abreu for the Jermaine Dye guy. but that was just a total rumor. personally, i would rather see them bring up a bunch of minor leaguers, guys who the team can eventually be built around.

I heard the Yankees were possibly going after Kenny Rodgers.

What they need is to enhance their farm system. No more big-name prospects for $$$$. Trading Philip Hughes would be a sin ... and if it happens, I'm finished for '07.

I'm a huge Yankee fan. Regardless they'll probably trade for somebody over the hill with their best years behind them for quality rookies and minor leaguers

Right now it looks like Abreu is the one mentioned most as someone who might be leaving. Check out this site:
