What did you used to imagine as a child?

Question

I used to try to imagine what would happen if they filled a swimming pool with Vaseline and you dived into it.
I thought you would be able to swim in slow motion and breath underneath.

I also wondered what would happen if you built a giant shiney wall hundreds of feet high that slowly curved as it got nearer the ground, until it bacame vertical, like a slide.
I thought you would be able to dive off and spend some time freefalling before coming safely down to ground level.

What did you imagine?

luki1rn, you had a dark imagination (actually, I did sometimes, I think it used to frighten me, but I had forgotten about that)

What a fun question! I imagined that I was actually Princess Di's first child and any day they were going to come and get me from my "adopted" parents. They didn't want me because Prince Charles wanted a son first. But of corse, Princess Diana was dying inside because she gave up her only baby girl and would come and whisk me away when I least expected it. Oh and they didn't want to media to know so that's why I had to be raised by an American couple. I was a very inventive child...

My best friend alway told me that she imagined my hair was made of Spaghetti since I has wavy hair. To this day she calls me "Spaghetti Hair"

On the school bus I would Imagine I was riding a dirt bike along the side of the school bus ramping all the intersections...lol True story.

I wondered what it would be like if everything were edible like, edible houses, edible cd's,etc.

I also imagined myself as a secret agent/warrior ready to kick butt.*Lol* The pool thing reminds me of when I wanted to swim in jello, then I found out you would suffocate, that was a bummer.

I always wondered whether black holes were really gates in space leading of to other dimensions. I used to believe that I was actually an alien and had been lost here on earth (I never did quite fit in anywhere LOL).

i had so many questions in my mind and i always tried to imagine some answers.
i used to ask myself 'what is the reason for the creation of waves and ripple’. I answered myself saying that ‘ ripples are created when there is movement. So, when fishes breath they cause ripple and when big fishes like whale breath thy cause waves.’ And I imagined it when I was 5-6 years old. pretty funny for me now.

I was going to be a well know photographer, I had to give many interviews and I already wrote down some answers and stories I would tell to magazines.

Whenever my parents drove me around over hills, I would pretend like I was on a roller coaster cuz I was too scared to go on real ones.

So... did you ever try that vaseline thing?! Sounds like fun!

i used to talk. sometimes i would not even notice it- id be imagining scenarios and stories and id end up talking aloud. i remember but not clearly. it was like a habit and i couldnt really sleep until hour(s) of lying there. i miss it kinda ☺

i think it stopped when i started getting music stuck in my head. around nine yrs oldmaybe younger. its mysterious lol.

I love your imagination!!! I imagined schools with robots for teachers and school being somewhat like Saved by the bell. Really colorful...
