It's not a matter of better but more a matter of preference, that's like comparing apples to oranges, pun intended. If you like windows operating systems, XP, Vista, etc, then go with Sony, if you like Macintosh then go with Apple.

What do you want to do, and how much do you want to spend?
You can generally get these two for about the same price. The sony may be a bit cheaper.
Generally though, the pc is a standard in the business and gaming world.
The Mac is a bit more stable of an operating platform, but look to pay a lot more for peripherals and software.
If you're looking for an everyday laptop, I suggest going for the PC system, and unless you're considering the sony for the brand name alone, skip it and shop around for a more reasonably priced laptop. I suggest going to Best buy and asking them what kind of system requirements on a pc laptop will meet your needs, and then shop around from there.

It depends on what you are using the laptop for. If you are into graphics, animation or anything of that sort, then the Apple might be a better choice. However, if you want a computer for regular use, I would chose the Sony. Both machines are good anyway!

Well, if somebody suddenly said Sony; immediatly I would think of TVs. If somebody said Apple, then I would think of an iPod, iPhone, and other electronic products. So I think you should get an Apple. Also, think of it. In TV shows, they wouldn't use an Apple if somebody had a laptop. They would put another fruit or something. So that mens Apple is more popular. Go for Apple!

Sony laptop run Windows whereas apple laptop run Mac. Both are equally good.

Dell, Alienware, IBM.
Those are the best brands... why would you pick sony or apple as your choices? It depends on what you like; Sony runs XP/Vista Apple runs OSX. If you were talking OS wise... I'd pick sony, because I think that OSX sucks. That's Just me. If I were you I would pick one of the brands I have listed above...

sony ones are bulkier than apple's laptops but that's because sony's pack more power..yes non-apple laptops get alot of viruses, but it doesn't maen they crash every second, and those that do probably have irresponsible owners.. the way i see it....an apple-made laptop is like a "keep-it-simple-stupid" book and whereas a sony laptop is a full-blown encyclopedia......

I have a Sony Vaio and I really love it. One of my friends has an Apple and she thinks that it is just great. I guess that it just depends on you and what type of programs that you will be using.

apple has the best laptopp because they work great and they request your websites so quickly....its a breeze...plus this is the laptop i am using right now on yahoo!answers..i always use it...it doesnt get viruses either...it barely weighs 2 pounds..the sony ones are very bulkyy!
