Where did you get 24%? I thought it was 14%. That said, poll numbers don't ALWAYS indicate how well or poorly politicians are doing their jobs. Even if Congress had a high approval rating, they would still be bad for our country.

Indeed, but the public still trusts the Democrats in Congress over Bush to handle the situation in Iraq, by 51 percent to 35 percent.

Well consider it has been 6 years of President Bush's bungling and fumbling things with the GOP majority in both houses of Congress. that led to this. The GOP did this to itself and the Democrats did not have to do anything! I support the Republicans less at this point: They are equally if not more lost and stupid than the Democrats!! They are the kings at starting things they don't know how to finish like the Iraq War and by basing themselves on George W. Bush they have lost control of their political party.

Congressional approval is very different from Presidential approval. People vote for the president, and know who he is.

On the other hand, People don't vote for the congress, they only vote for their senators and representative. So people can be unhappy with Congress, but still vote for their congressman.

And that's assuming they even know who their senator and congressman is.

Now as for me, I sleep pretty well. Even if the congress isn't doing very well, they aren't doing as much harm as George W. Bush has.

Uh oh. Now you did it.

After the Dems claim of a "SWEEPING" victory last November, now that they get called out on their poor approval numbers, it's "barely" a majority dem congress, and or, can we guess the next one?
It's all Bush's fault.

Will libs EVER grow up and learn what it means to accept responsibility or just keep blaming others?

Of course they say, b b b b but you cons always bring up Clinton....
Yeeeeaaaahhhhhhhh! We wouldn't though if you libs would quite saying what a great president he was when in fact he sucked.

particular relatively a shame truly. no longer purely the liberal media however the conservative media exaggerate each and every thing this is achieved by ability of distant places enemies. this is a scare tactic this is used to "distract" the lots and whilst the hot iphone or ipad comes out each and every physique will rush to purchase it, and the information will swap to some thing greater suttle so the individuals have time to relish what they offered, it is going to calm them down. each and every physique is risky apparently in accordance to the information. each and every of the media companies are owned by ability of the government or by ability of government enterprise companies that are paid to sell the agendas of the two events and concern, it became first "communism" which became comprehensive nonsense and now the strongest concern being processed is "infants, and terrorists." Our new McCarthyism has been present day in us of a, and there'll continuously be another enemy to combat after infants and terrorists that i PROMISE you. None on the information are even conscious of their lack of understanding, and inaccuracy, yet tens of millions watch the because of the fact they are afraid, and neurotic approximately each and every thing, so that they sense secure and shelter thinking that some conservative or liberal media is going to have each and every of the solutions for them.

Seeing I neither support the Congress or the President I am a member of the vast majority who think they are both horrible.

How about the 27% who still support our incompetent President?

IDK, I'm surprised the number is that high, this Congress is almost as bad as the last one.

BTW, can you explain the 29% that still support Bush? Right now, that's as low as Jimmy Carter's lowest rating.
